Senior age qualification date changed - now the 1st of June
1 October 2007 - The IDBF Congress in Penrith accepted a second proposal from the BDA, that the qualifying date for each Senior Racing Class category should be the 1st June in any given year and not the 1st January, as it presently is.
The rational being that this change of six months would bring more paddlers into the Senior Racing Classes sooner (which includes the Grand Dragons) as the 1 January date can mean that some paddlers can be excluded from competing in a WDBRC for nearly two years.
