No surprises in the IDBF elections - the helm remains the same!
1 October 2007 - The shortest part of the IDBF Members Congress were the elections to the IDBF Council. This time around the Executive President; Secretary-General; Treasurer and the Commission Chair holders, were all up for election. The only new face amongst the nominees was Mr HU Jian Guo (China) nominated by the Council to replace outgoing Sec-Gen, Lei Jun, whose new duties have taken him away from Dragon Boating.
Mike Haslam (Great Britain) was unanimously re-elected as IDBF Executive President, with David Cogswell and Mike Thomas, both also from Great Britain, being re-elected as the IDBF Treasurer and Chairman of the IDBF Competition & Technical Commission, respectively. Bob McNamara (United States) was re-elected as the Chairman of the Medical & Sports Medicine Commission and Sharif Khan (Canada) as the Chairwoman of the Media & Marketing Commission.
